Beged Ivri visits Mobile Alabama
Congregation Tree of Life in Mobile Alabama welcomes everyone to hear Reuven Prager of Beged Ivri (Clothing of Israel) on February 6, 2008.
Beged Ivri is the Levitical Ministry, established in 1983, for the research and restoration of ancient Israelite customs in preparation for rebuilding the Holy Third Temple in Jerusalem.
Topics covered include Biblical Garments, Techelet.(Biblical Blue Fringe), Biblical Weddings (and anniversaries), Ketoret (Incense of the Temple), the Holy Half-Shekel, and other related restoration projects underway in Jerusalem. For a portion of the tour we will have our favorite Kohen, Gershon Ferency, join us to teach about Shmitta (laws of the 7th year) and how it effects the vineyard planted dedicated to producing wine for the Libations of the Holy Temple.
This year we will be visiting Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. As usual, we will be bringing to you our entire line of Biblical items, Judaica and Holy Half Shekels, and speaking coast-to-coast on current restoration activity related to the Holy Temple.
Participants will be allowed to dress and photograph themselves in Biblical garments, smell the spices of the Temple incense, and handle genuine ancient coins from the Temple. At the end of the lecture, Beged Irvi will offer Biblcal items for sale.
