Operation Shabbat Mitzvot Continues        Eeki Elner - AFFI         16 Jan 2009

Operation Shabbat Mitzvot Continues

Since the War in Gaza broke out and a state of emergency was declared in the town of Sderot, AFFI has provided more than five hundred hot meals to the Elders in town.

Our volunteers continue to visit hundreds of residents every Friday afternoon. Many of these people are Holocaust survivors, confined to their homes while Hamas has barraged Sderot with almost one thousand missiles in fewer than twenty days!

With your help, and under the auspices of the Israel Leadership Institute (ILI) and the Jerusalem Institute of Justice (JIJ) and their volunteers, the Alliance For the Future of Israel (AFFI) will continue tomorrow - and as long as the war continues - to provide meals, food products, blankets, and humanitarian relief through our Operation Shabbat Mitzvot.

The blessing this activity bestows upon these residents is evident in these photos taken last Friday, January 9.

AFFI would like to thank The Joshua Fund and The Joseph Project for their participation in this project.

With your support, we can continue to feed the Elders in the town of Sderot. Please continue helping them by supporting AFFI! Make A Donation

The Alliance for the Future of Israel is committed to ensuring the existence of Israel, to promising the security of the Jewish people dwelling in the holy land, and guaranteeing their ability to prevail over the many threats they are facing. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the financial support of those who want to help us advance our goals. If you support our vision and are looking for a way to get involved, we ask you to consider helping us.

Sincerely,

Susan B. Lhota, Executive Director
