ISRAEL SET TO BECOME OECD’S POOREST MEMBER

If the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development accepts Israel in its vote this May, it will be its poorest member with the widest social gaps, a report by the organization shows. . . . Although the report's conclusions are nothing new for many Israelis, the country is still at the bottom of the rankings. Every fifth Israeli is twice as poor as the average person in OECD member states. More than half of Israelis are paid less than NIS 4,000 a month, while only a very few make many times as much. . . .

On Friday February 5, 2010 Natasha Kraus Reynolds will be leading worship at Congregation Tree of Life located at 8715 Jeff Hamilton Rd. in Mobile Alabama. Natasha will be singing song from her newly released CD “In the Beginning” - Natasha was born and raised in the small Latin American country of Panama, to middle class parents of Jewish ancestry. Faith and music were always a big focus in her home. As a young adult, Natasha rediscovered her faith as a Messianic Jewish believer in Yeshua (Jesus), The Messiah.

Second Annual “Aliyah” Mini Conference held in Canton, Ohio

The STAR in the East Messianic Congregation Canton, Ohio's first and oldest Messianic Congregation will be hosting its Second Annual mini-conference “Aliyah” Saturday May 1, 2010. The conference will begin at 10:00am with a Shabbat celebration. This will be followed by classes taught by local Messianic Rabbis. During the afternoon Ralph and Mindy Seta from Dance Camps International will be hosting our afternoon dance workshop. The conference will be capped off with an evening concert with Sue Samuel. There will be no registration fees to attend the conference however, offerings will be received after each class, workshop and concert.

Messianic Leader Says Revival Breaking Out Among Jewish People

A Messianic evangelist believes revival is breaking out among Jewish communities in the U.S. Sid Roth, founder of Georgia-based Messianic Vision and host of the It's Supernatural television broadcast, said he has seen dozens of Jewish Americans profess faith in Christ in recent months during evangelistic events in New York and California. -Last summer in Brighton Beach, N.Y., nearly 400 Russian Jews reportedly attended an evangelistic meeting billed as a lecture on the paranormal. People were healed, Roth said, including a wheelchair-bound woman who had not been able to walk for five years.

Believer arrested for denial to take arms

A member of the Messianic Jewish congregation “New Testament” Ivan Mikhajlau has been sentenced to 3 months of arrest. As informed by “European Belarus” website, Ivan Mikhajlau was found guilty of a criminal offence “for draft evasion”. Ivan Mikhajlau denied to do compulsory military service as it is contrary to his religious believes. He demanded to be assigned to civilian alternative service, in line with Article 57 of Belarus' Constitution. Besides, Ivan Mikhajlau is the elder son in a family with many children, and he helps to support the family considerably.

We all grow up and hear that we should speak for those who don’thave a voice.  However, there are those who can speak, although thetendency for many people is not to want to listen to them. -  I’mspeaking of the vast number of people in our prison systems whosevoices are typically unheard. For those individuals that have somethingto say, but can’t get their message out there, it can make a personfeel even more enclosed. If the stereotyping of incarceratedindividuals suggests that they are thought of as nothing more thancaged animals, then this is what they will likely become.

Rochester, NY -- Bagels and Blessings Radio Program will host its annual Variety Show and Bake Sale this Saturday night, January 30, at 7:00 PM.   The event will be held at Congregation Shema Yisrael, 1326 N. 'Messianic' Believer faces 6 month arrest instead of alternative service

21-year-old Ivan Mikhajlau is charged with draft evasion, however theyoung man does not plead guilty. At the moment Ivan Mikhajlau faceshalf a year of prison for draft evasion under Article 435 of theCriminal Code of Belarus. Mikhajlau does not consider himself evadingfrom draft: he was ready for alternative service. However, as stated bywebsite ags.by, the draft committee denied him such a possibility.
